Ryan Selected ECAC Division III New England Defensive Player of the Week
Framingham, Mass. – Framingham State junior goalkeeper Sarah Ryan (Uxbridge, Mass.) has been selected the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Region Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 25th.
Ryan, who was named the Little East Conference Goalkeeper of the Week earlier this week, posted a 0.67 goals against average in 210 minutes of action leading the Rams to a 2-1 record last week including a 1-0 mark in the conference. Ryan recorded a pair of shutout victories over Wheelock College and LEC foe Eastern Connecticut State University. She made one stop in the win at Wheelock and turned aside eight in the victory over the Warriors which was the Rams first conference win of the year. Earlier in the week, Ryan made seven stops in a one goal loss to Gordon College.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday with a Little East game at Western Connecticut at 7 p.m.
