Fitchburg State got on the board early in the first frame as Roma connected for her fifth goal of the season just 8:04 into the contest. Roma took a feed from setter Jamie Kelley on the opening corner play and smashed it home for an early 1-0 advantage. Less than ten minutes later, Roma struck again, taking a dish from Jacobs and blasting it past Ram goalkeeper Allesha Kenyon (Westford, Mass.) for a 2-0 lead.

Late in the first half, Fitchburg State doubled its lead as Jacobs tallied back-to-back markers over a span of seven minutes. Her first strike came at the 27:31 mark where Jacobs collected and deposited a loose-ball pass from Roma for her seventh goal of the season. The senior captain later followed with her eighth tally of the season, using a feed from Kelly and Roma on the Falcons penalty corner.

In the second half, Fitchburg State turned to a possession style offense, limiting its shots and winding the clock down for its fifth victory of the season. Bergeron tallied to lone marker in the half, taking a Jamie Kelley rebound and slipping it past the right side of Ram keeper Sarah Ryan (Uxbridge, Mass.).

The Falcons continued their strong defense through this contest, holding Framingham State scoreless for 70 minutes of action with zero shots on net. Sophomore goaltender Abbie Brown (Westford, Mass.) was not tested in her 35 minutes of work, while freshman Rachel Mays (Somerset, Mass.) posted 35 minutes of scoreless action as well.
