Field Hockey Selected to Participate in ECAC New England Championship

Framingham, MA - The Framingham State College field hockey team was selected to participate in the 2008 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Division III Field Hockey Championships as the seventh seed.  The Rams, who finished the regular season 10-8 and set a new school record for wins in a season, travel to Plymouth State on Wednesday to take on the second seed Panthers, who lost in the Little East Conference championship game.

Other teams selected to participate in the tournament are top seed Endicott College, #3 seed Westfield State, #4 seed St. Joseph's College (ME), #5 seed Worcester State and #6 Becker College.  The winner of the Framingham/Plymouth game will face the winner of the Westfield State/Becker game on Saturday in the tournament semifinals.
