Daly Named Head Field Hockey Coach

Framingham, MA - The Framingham State College athletic department is pleased to announce that Meghan Daly has been named the Framingham State College head field hockey coach.  Daly will replace Bob Kelley who led the Rams to two MASCAC Co-Championships and two ECAC Tournament appearances during his five years at the helm.

Daly, a 2008 graduate of the University of Rhode Island, was a four year starter for the URI Rams Division I field hockey program.  During her career she was a three time team captain and the Rams qualified for the A-10 Tournament.   She also served as a mentor to first year students, teaching college survival skills and organizing community service activities.

Daly spent last fall as the assistant coach for Clark University's field hockey team. She worked primarily with the Cougars defense.  Daly assisted with all aspects of the team's day to day operations including planning practices, instructing drills and assisting with recruiting student-athletes.  She has also been the head coach of the USA Olympic Futures Program U-19 head coach where she teaches advanced skills and strategy as well as educating the athletes on the college recruiting process.
