Bio

Framingham State University alum Cully Curran ‘22 has been named Assistant Football Coach and Recruiting and Club Sports Coordinator for the Rams as announced by Director of Athletics Tom Kelley.  

“We couldn’t be happier to have Cully joining the department as both a coach and full-time staff member,” said Kelley.  “As an alum and former standout FSU football player, Cully has extensive knowledge of Framingham State and the football program and knows what it takes to be successful here.”  

Curran graduated from Framingham State in December 2022 with a degree in Business Management. Curran was a four year starter and a three time captain of the football team.  During his four years with the Rams, the team won three MASCAC Titles and made a pair of appearances in the NCAA Tournament.  As a senior, Curran was a D3football.com All-Region selection, a NEFW All-New England Selection and an All-MASCAC Selection. In addition to his accolades on the field, Curran earned multiple academic honors including the Dean’s List, the President’s List and the MASCAC All-Academic Team. Curran was recognized as the student-athlete with the highest GPA in the College of Business.

After graduating from Framingham State, Curran was an instructor at McNally boxing and served as a substitute teacher in the Arlington Public Schools.  Curran joined the FSU football coaching staff in for the 2022 season working with the linebackers.

In addition to his coaching duties with the football program, Curran will serve as the department’s liaison with the admissions office and oversee the Rams four club sports programs.
