Wilder and Onujiogu Selected to 2017 NEFW Division II/III All-New England Team

Framingham, Mass. – Senior offensive tackle Joe Wilder (Stoughton, Mass.) and sophomore defensive end Joshua Onujiogu (Wareham, Mass.) have been selected to the 2017 New England Football Writhers Division II/III All-New England Team.

Wilder, who anchored the Rams offensive line, was previously recognized as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Offensive Lineman of the Year as well as a first team All-MASCAC selection.   The Rams averaged 407 yards of offense per game including averaging over 200 rushing yards per contest.

Onujiogu, a first team All-MASCAC selection, led the Rams with 11.5 sacks on the season and 18.5 tackles for a loss.  Onujiogu recorded 62 total tackles on the season including 41 solo stops to go along with a fumble recovery and two pass breakups.

A total of 30 players representing 20 different teams were honored with selection to the All-New England Team including six players from the MASCAC. The 2017 Division II/III All‐New England Team will be honored at the New England Football Writers Captains and Awards Banquet on Tuesday, December 5th at the Montvale Plaza in Stoneham, Massachusetts. 

The Rams finished the 2017 season as the Co-MASCAC Champions with a 10-1 overall record.  The Rams captured their second straight New England Bowl with a 48-14 victory over Curry College.
