Football Sweeps MASCAC Weekly Awards

Framingham, Mass.- The Framingham State football team made a clean sweep of the four Weekly Awards given out by the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) for the week ending November, 19th.

Sophomore quarterback Adam Wojenski (Stratford, Conn.) was named MASCAC Offensive Player of the Week after earning MVP honors of the D3 New England Bowl. Wojenski threw for 246 yards and five touchdowns, while rushing for 54 yards on 4 carries in the Rams' 48-14 win over Curry College. He threw touchdown passes of 24, 13, 61, 21 and three yards.

Senior defensive back Tom Burns (Attleboro, Mass.) was honored MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week after pacing the Rams defense with 10 tackles, eight solo and an interception that led to a touchdown.

Freshman kicker Ryan Clifford (Brockton, Mass.) was named MASCAC Special Teams Player of the Week after he converted 6-of-7 extra point attempts and averaged 45.9 yards per kickoff for the Rams.

Freshman wide receiver Shaquille Joseph (Somerville, Mass.) was named MASCAC Rookie of the Week after catching seven passes for 72 yards with a touchdown in the Rams' 48-14 D3 New England Bowl victory.
