Harris Named MASCAC Defensive Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – After his record tying performance on Friday night, senior Jaquan Harris (Boston, Mass.) has been selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 8th.

Harris, who earns his second defensive player of the week honor this season, recorded five interceptions in the Rams victory over Fitchburg State tying the NCAA Division III single game record.  Harris now shares the single game record with 11 other people with the most recent occurring in 2002.

Harris, who established a new FSU single game interception record, now has eight interceptions on the year, tying the FSU mark for picks in a season.  His first pick against the Falcons was returned 19 yards setting up the Rams first touchdown of the game.
