Plymouth, N.H. – Sophomore running back Quron Wright (Worcester, Mass.) found the end zone four times as the Framingham State University football team defeated Plymouth State University 41-7 in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Currier Field.

With the win, the Rams improve to 5-2 on the year and are now 4-1 in the league, while the Panthers fall to 4-3 overall and 2-3 in the MASCAC.

Wright paced the Rams offense rushing for 175 yards on 22 carries with four scores. Wright averaged 8.0 yards per carry. Freshman quarterback Adam Wojenski (Stratford, Conn.) completed 15-of-22 for 168 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the game, while junior Stephen Beahn (Spencer, Mass.) and sophomore Deron Hines (Chelsea, Mass.) each had touchdown receptions.

The Rams took the lead for good in the first quarter on a pair of touchdown runs from Wright.  Wright found the end zone from five yards out just under four minutes into the game and then scored on a one-yard run with 8:06 left in the opening quarter.

Plymouth State tallied their only score of the day in the opening minutes of the second quarter on a 31 yard touchdown pass from Connor Edwards to Brandonn Drumgole.  It was all Framingham after that as the Rams scored a pair of touchdown late in the second quarter.  With just over 14 minutes remaining, Wojenski connected with Hines for a 24 yard score and with just 10 ticks left on the clock before the half Wojenski hit Beahn for an 11-yard touchdown.

Wright would find the end zone twice in the second half to cap the day's scoring.  With just under three minutes remaining in the third, Wright scored on a 56 yard run and added a seven yard TD just five seconds into the fourth quarter.

Defensively, the Rams were led by six tackles, five solo, and a pass break up from junior Jaquan Harris (Boston, Mass.), while sophomore Brian Donahue (Norfolk, Mass.) added five solo stops including two for a loss with two pass break ups.

The Rams are back on the road next Saturday when they travel to Massachusetts Maritime Academy for a MASCAC contest beginning at noon.
