Cortland, N.Y. – The Framingham State University football team took to the road for the first time this season and were defeated 49-21 by Cortland State this afternoon at the SUNY Cortland Stadium.

The Rams turned the ball over three times in the first half as Cortland built the lead to 42-14 at the half.

After a scoreless third quarter, junior Stephen Beahn (Spencer, Mass.) scored on a four yard run for the Rams just over a minute into the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 42-21.  Cortland would tack on a touchdown run by Johnnie Akins with just over six minutes remaining to reach the final margin.
