Silva Earns Fourth MASCAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

Framingham, Mass. – Senior quarterback Matt Silva (Dracut, Mass.) has been selected the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the week of November 8th.

Silva earns his fourth offensive player of the week recognition this season after completing 21-of-30 passes for 253 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the Rams 27-17 victory over Bridgewater State University.  The win clinched the MASCAC regular season title for the Rams and guaranteed them the MASCAC's first automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III Football Championship Tournament.  With his three touchdown passes against Bridgewater, Silva established a new FSU single season touchdown record. Silva has 35 touchdown passes on the year which surpassed the old mark of 33 set by Kurt Leone during the 2010 season.
