Football Places 12 on All-MASCAC Football Squad

Framingham, Mass. – The 2013 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football Champion Framingham State University Rams placed 12 players on the All-MASCAC Teams in voting conducted by league's coaches.  The Rams landed eight players on the first team and four on the second. 

The Rams finished the regular season 9-1 overall and a perfect 8-0 in the MASCAC en route to the MASCAC Championship in the first season of MASCAC football as the Rams primary playing conference.  The Rams received an at-large bid to the 2013 NCAA Football Championship and will face Ithaca College in the opening round.

Earning first teams honors on the defensive side of the ball were safeties Matt Mangano (Winchester, Mass.) and Kevin Donahue (Norfolk, Mass.), linebacker Pat McGrath (Everett, Mass.) and defensive lineman Chevere Archer (Lynn, Mass.).  Running back Melikke Van Alstyne (Salem, Mass.) joined three offensive linemen, center Nick Stanfield (Everett, Mass.), guard Aaron Ferreira (Methuen, Mass.) and tackle James Krebs (Carver, Mass.) as first team honorees on offense.

Linebacker Sam Hill (Lynn, Mass.) and defensive linemen Jeff Touron (Brockton, Mass.) and Olajuwon Dickerson (Milton, Mass.) received second team nods on the defensive side of the ball, while freshman fullback Aaron Owens (Springfield, Mass.) was the lone Ram on the second team offense.
