Eight Rams Honored with Selection to the 2012 NEFC All-Academic Team

Framingham, Mass. – A total of 258 student-athletes including eight from conference champion Framingham State University have been named to the 2012 New England Football Conference (NEFC) All-Academic Team.   

Honorees include seniors Alex Avery (Psychology), Tyrone Figueroa (Accounting) and Joe Masucci (Business Administration), juniors Brian Castellanos (Business Administration) and Patrick Lamusta (Business Administration), and sophomores Stephen Brown (Mathematics), Randall Kelleher (Economics) and Brian Montambault (Psychology).

To qualify for the NEFC All-Academic Team a player must have completed three semesters at the same institution with a cumulative of 3.0 or better grade point average (based on a 4.0 scale).

The 2012 Rams captured the NEFC Conference Championship with a victory over Salve Regina in the league's final championship game and battled Cortland State in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Football Championship. The Rams were narrowly defeated, 20-19, and finished with a school best 10-2 record.
