Leone Selected NEFC Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass.  — Senior quarterback Kurt Leone (Marshfield, Mass.) has been selected the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Offensive Co-Player of the Week for the week ending October 30th.  Leone, who earns his first player of the week nod this season, shares Offensive Player of the Week honors with Endicott College junior running back Mike Lane.

Leone led the Rams to a 34-13 win on the road Saturday over Coast Guard as the Rams remain in a tie atop the NEFC Bogan Division Standings with Maine Maritime.  Leone completed 23 of 35 for 320 yards with five touchdowns and one interception.  He completed touchdown passes of 53, 12, 28, 20 and 2 yards.  Leone, who has thrown for five TDs in a game twice already this season, tied the school record again for touchdown passes in a game and has increased his single season touchdown record to 29.  He is also closing in on the single season passing yardage record with one regular season game remaining.  Leone is leading the NEFC in total offense, passing yards per game, pass efficiency and touchdown passes this season.

The Rams, who are now 7-2 overall and 5-1 in the division, close the regular season on Saturday at home as they host Worcester State University at noon.
