Framingham, Mass. - Framingham State College head football coach and director of athletics Tom Kelley was honored with the Eastern Association of Intercollegiate Football Officials (E.A.I.F.O.) Murray Lewis Award on Monday November 16th at the organization's Boston Chapter annual awards banquet.

Kelley, who just completed his third season as head coach, guided the Rams to a 5-5 mark in 2009 which matched the Rams record from a year ago.  It marks the first time the Rams have finished .500 or better in back-to-back seasons since 1978 and 1979.  Kelley previously coached the Rams from 1982-1984.

Kelley is in his fourteenth year as Athletic Director at Framingham State and has been involved with the FSC athletic department for the past 30 years.  He has changed the look of the coaching staff in every program and was instrumental in the addition of women's lacrosse as a varsity sport.  Kelley graduated from Framingham State in 1976 where he was a four-year starter at defensive tackle.  He begin his first stint as the Rams head coach in 1982 and returned to coaching in 2001 as a defensive assistant.  Kelley returned to coaching again after the 2006 season when he once again took over as head coach.
