Kewley Named ECAC Division III Northeast Football All-Star

Framingham, Mass. - Senior Anthony Kewley (Rutland, Mass.) was named a 2009 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Northeast Football All-Star.  Kewley, who receives ECAC honors for the first time in his career, was selected as a return specialist. 

Kewley, who was also a New England Football Conference (NEFC) First Team all-division selection in 2009 as a return specialist, led the nation and the NEFC in punt returns averaging 16.7 yards per return.  He returned two punts for touchdowns including an 82-yard return in the Rams win over Mass. Maritime and an 80-yard return for a score in an early season win over Nichols College.  Kewley, who averaged 130.8 all-purpose yards per game in 2009, was also among the conference leaders in kickoff returns averaging 19.8 yards per run back.

In 2009 the Rams went 5-5 and matched their record from last season and it is the first time the Rams finished .500 or better in back-to-back season since the 1978 and 1979 seasons.
