Rich Garners ECAC Player of the Week Honors
Framingham, MA - Framingham State College senior quarterback Bruce Rich (Chelmsford, MA) was honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) as the Division III Northeast Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 8th. Rich was the difference maker in the Rams 25-20 victory over Endicott which was the Rams first opening day win since 2005 and their first win against Endicott College. He completed 17 of 27 passes for 229 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions while being sacked five times. Rich, who was also named the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Offensive Player of the Week, also rushed for 44 yards in the game including a 22-yard touch down run in the final minute of play that turned out to be the game winner. The Rams return to action on Friday as they travel to Nichols College for a 7:00 game.
