Boyle Selected ABCA First Team All-Region

Framingham, Mass. – Sophomore utility player Ryan Boyle (Arlington, Mass.) has been selected to the 2022 American Baseball Coaches Association NCAA Division III All-region 2 First Team in voting conducted by members of the ABCA and let by the ABCA NCAA Division III All-America Committee. 

ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-America teams will be announced on Thursday, June 2. The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced Wednesday, June 22. 

The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007. 

 Boyle, who saw time this season as the designated hitter and in the outfield, was previously a first team All-MASCAC selection.  Boyle finished the season .382 at the plate for the Rms seeing action in 37 games with 131 at bats. Boyle collected 50 hits including seven doubles, three triples and six home runs while driving in 26 runs. Boyle's .382 average ranked third in the MASCAC, while he was tied for fifth in home runs.  His OBP of .438 and slugging percentage of .618 also ranked among the conference leaders.
