Baseball Earns Sixth Seed in 2022 MASCAC Baseball Championship Tournament

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team has earned the sixth seed in this week's 2022 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Tournament. 

The Rams, who earned the sixth seed after taking two of three this past weekend from Fitchburg State, will face third seed Massachusetts Maritime Academy in an elimination game on Thursday at 11 a.m. at second seed Westfield State. The winner of that matchup will advance to face the Owls on Thursday afternoon. 

Fifth seed Salem State will face fourth seed Worcester State on Thursday at top seed Bridgewater State in the other opening round game. The winner of that matchup will advance to face the Bears on Thursday afternoon. 

The double elimination portion of the tournament begins on with the second games on Thursday and concludes on Friday and Saturday at top seed Bridgewater State. The winner of the 2022 MASCAC Baseball Tournament will receive the league's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.
