Baseball Shutout by Roger Williams
Northboro, Mass. - The Framingham State University baseball team was defeated 10-0 by Roger Williams University in non-conference action this afternoon at the New England Baseball Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Hawks got on the board in the top of the second with a pair of runs and added a single run in the top of the fourth on a wild pitch to lead 3-0.

A sacrifice fly and a two run homer from Tommy Hobin in the top of the fifth extended the lead to 6-0.

The Hawks added a three run homer in the top of the seventh by Mike Masino and an RBI double by Matt Massaro in the top of the ninth to reach the final margin.

Scott Nosky took the loss on the hill for the Rams going three innings allowing two runs, one earned, on four hits with two walks and five strikeouts.

Justin Garcia, Connor Hewlette and Chris Flynn tossed three scoreless innings apiece for the Hawks en route the victory.

Ryan Boyle and Robert Johnston collected two hits apiece for the Rams in the contest.
UP NEXT:
The Rams are back in action on Monday when they travel to UMass Boston for a non-league game at 3 p.m., while the Hawks face Mount Union on March 11th in Florida.
