Keene State Edges Baseball 4-3

Keene, NH – The Framingham State University baseball team was defeated 4-3 on the road this afternoon by Keene State College at the Owl Athletic Complex.

With the win, Keene State improves to 13-18 on the year, while the Rams are now 14-20.

The Rams received a pair of hits from Andrew Curtis who went 2-for4 with a run scored.  Cameron Borelli and RC Goodman chipped in with an RBI apiece for the Rams.

The Rams took the early lead with a run on sacrifice fly by Borelli to right in the top of the first that scored Curtis, but the Owls took the lead with a pair of unearned runs in the bottom of the second.

The Owls extended the lead to 3-1 in the fifth, but the Rams pushed across a pair of runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game.  Anthony Herman scored on a ground out and Goodman singled to center for the other run of the frame.

The Owls answered in the bottom of the seventh with the winning run as they capitalized on another Framingham error.

Josh Jezouit started on the hill for the Rams and went six innings allowing three runs, all unearned, on six hits with three strikeouts.  Brian Quinn took the loss allowing an unearned run in one inning of relief.

The Rams are back in action tomorrow when they host Bridgewater State in a MASCAC doubleheader at Bowditch Field beginning at 1 p.m.
