Connelly Named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week
Framingham, Mass. – Sophomore starting pitcher Kevin Connelly (Bolton, Mass.) has been named to the D3baseball.com Team for the Week for the week ending April 9th.
The Team of the Week is D3ball.com's weekly honor roll, honoring performers at each position from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors and this is the ninth Team of the Week for 2017.
Connelly was previously recognized at the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Pitcher of the Week for his performance April 3rd-April 9th.
Connelly went 2-0 with a pair of complete game shutout victories last week surrendering just five hits in 14 innings of work, while striking out 13. He tossed seven innings and allowed just two hits with six strikeouts in a 1-0 victory over Fitchburg State. Connelly closed the week with a complete game, seven inning effort in a 10-0 victory over MCLA in which he surrendered just three hits with seven strikeouts.
