Derosier Selected for the 2015 NEIBA All-Star Game

Framingham, Mass. - Framingham State University senior third baseman Billy Derosier (Shrewsbury, Mass.) has been chosen to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) annual Joe Walsh All-Star Game which will be held on Sunday, May 31st at 7 p.m. at LeLacheur Park in Lowell.

The NEIBA All-Star game features a team of University Division All-Stars, which is comprised of the region's top NCAA Division I players, battling the College All-Star squad, which features New England's top Division II and III baseball players.

Derosier earned several honors this spring after completing his senior season with a .340 average including 49 hits, 11 doubles, 11 homeruns and 38 RBI.  Derosier also racked up 20 stolen bases while being caught stealing just twice.  Derosier earned first team All-MASCAC honors in addition to being named the MASCAC Player of the Week twice.  Derosier was recognized as a third team All-New England selection by both the ABCA/Rawlings and NEIBA in addition to being honored by D3baseball.com as an All-New England Third Team selection.

The 2015 Framingham State baseball team experienced their most successful season to date thanks in large part to the contributions of Derosier.  The Rams compiled a school record 27 victories and finished as the runners up in the 2015 ECAC Division III New England Baseball Championship Tournament.
