Babson Park, Mass. – Freshman pitcher Mike Andrews has been named to the 2014 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Division III All-New England First Team.  A total of 51 players were honored on the first, second, and third teams by NEIBA.

Earlier this spring, Andrews was tabbed as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Co-Rookie of the year as well as a second team All-MASCAC selection.  Andrews had an outstanding rookie season going 7-1 in nine appearances with a new school single season record ERA of 1.25.  Andrews tossed five complete games and two shutouts in 64 and two thirds innings of work.  Opponents hit just .192 off Andrews who allowed just nine earned runs all season with 33 strikeouts and just 10 walks.

Including Andrews, a total of six athletes from the MASCAC were honored with selection to the All-New England teams by NEIBA.  Joining Andrews on the first team were Richard Fecteau of Salem State, David Ruggiero of Worcester State and Steven Drury, Jr., the MASCAC Co-Rookie of the Year with Andrews, from Fitchburg State.  Salem State's Brett Cahill and Ryan Hyjek were named to the third team.
