Kirby's Complete Game Leads Baseball Past Fisher
Lynn, Mass. – The Framingham State University baseball team received nine strong innings from junior Zack Kirby (Rochester, Mass.) on the hill as the Rams defeated Fisher College 6-2 this evening in non-conference action at Fraser Field.
Kirby tossed a complete game for the Rams (13-11) improving his season mark to 1-2. Kirby allowed two runs, one earned, on six hits with two walks and six strikeouts.
Sophomore Jake Wardwell (Hudson, Mass.) led the offense going 2-for-4 with two RBI, while junior Mark Mainini (Hull, Mass.) went 2-for-5 with an RBI, a run scored and two stolen bases. Sophomore Corey O'Neil (Woburn, Mass.) also chipped in with a pair of hits, a runs scored and one RBI.
The Rams are back in action on Sunday with a conference doubleheader against MCLA that will be played at Williams College with the first pitch at 1 p.m.
