Keene, N.H. – The Framingham State University baseball team took to the road this afternoon and was defeated 14-6 by Keene State College at the Owl Athletic Complex.

With the loss, the Rams are now 6-10 on the season, while the Owls improve to 7-13.

Sophomore infielder Cameron Couillard (North Andover, Mass.) went 1-for-4 in the game for the visitors and drove in three runs including two on a triple to left center in the eighth inning.  Seniors Justin Forman (Watertown, Mass.) and Will Crofton (Hopkinton, Mass.) and freshman Jake Wardwell (Hudson< Mass.) each went 2-for-5.  Wardwell and junior Ivan Colon (Waltham, Mass.) also drove in runs for the Rams.

Junior Billy Desroiser (Shrewsbury, Mass.) went 2-for-3 and scored a pair of runs, while classmate Tony Iafolla (Medfield, Mass.) also chipped in a pair of hits.

Keene State racked up a season-high 18 hits in the game and used four runs in the third to erase a 2-0 lead by the Rams. The Owls added three in the fourth and fifth and four more in the sixth to cruise to the victory.

The Rams return to conference action on Saturday afternoon with a pair of games at Westfield State beginning at noon.
