Winter Haven, Fla. – The Framingham State University baseball team split a pair of game this afternoon with Amherst College at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. The Rams won game one 4-1 before dropping game two 11-4.
Sophomore pitcher Ryan Bowen (Hudson, Mass.) went the distance in game one to secure his first victory on the hill, while in the night cap the Rams bullpen surrendered six runs in the final four innings as the Lord Jeffs took control of a 5-4 game.
More details on both games to follow. The Rams are now 2-6 on the season and will have an off day tomorrow before taking the field on Thursday against SUNY Plattsburg.
