Blydell Named MASCAC Baseball Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass. – Senior outfielder Chris Blydell (Hopkinton, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Baseball Player of the Week for the week ending April 22^nd, 2012. 

Blydell batted .458 (11-4) with five doubles, a triple, nine RBI and 10 runs scored in a 5-1 week for the Rams that featured a pair of sweeps in MASCAC action.  In a doubleheader sweep of Fitchburg State on Saturday afternoon Blydell rapped out six hits, including four doubles, and drove in three.  The Rams are now 21-12 on the season and 8-2 in the MASCAC with Blydell hitting .307 on the year with 12 doubles and 25 RBI.
