Baseball Rallies Late for 5-0 Victory over Fisher

Lynn, Mass. – The Framingham State University baseball team rallied for five runs in the final two innings to break open a scoreless game and defeat Fisher College 5-0 in non-conference action this evening at Fraser Field.

With the win, the Rams improve to 14-10 on the season, while Fisher falls to 16-20.

The Rams plated an unearned run in the top of the eighth inning to break the scoreless deadlock.  Freshman Cam Couillard (Lynn, Mass.) reached on an infield single, was sacrificed over to second and came around to score on a pair of errors in the Fisher infield.

Framingham State added some insurance in the top of the ninth.  Senior Chris Cole (Lynn, Mass.) was hit by a pitch and Couillard followed with a single to right.  After an out, back-to-back RBI singles from juniors Justin Forman (Watertown, Mass.) and Will Crofton (Hopkinton, Mass.) put the Rams up 3-0.  Senior Pedro Acevedo (Fall River, Mass.) followed with a double to right scoring Forman and Crofton to reach the final score of 5-0.

The Rams return to action on Thursday with a non-conference game at Eastern Nazarene at 3:30 p.m.
