FRAMINGHAM, MASS. - Framingham State University Athletic Director Tom Kelley is pleased to announce the hiring of Bryan McGovern, as the Rams Coordinator of Sports Performance/Building Manager.
McGovern brings more than 25 years of experience in collegiate athletics, including two decades at Binghamton University, where he led strength and conditioning programs for 21 NCAA Division I teams. He holds a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential and has overseen the design and management of sports performance facilities, implemented strength & conditioning programs across multiple sports, and collaborated closely with coaches and athletic staff to support student-athlete development.
“Bryan’s experience speaks for itself,” said Tom Kelley, Director of Athletics. “He’s built successful programs, managed top-tier facilities, and understands how to create an environment where student-athletes can grow on and off the field. We’re excited to have him join our team.”
McGovern shared his enthusiasm for the new role:
“I want to thank the administration for giving me this opportunity as the Coordinator of Sports Performance at Framingham State University. I am excited to get to work with every coach, administrator and student-athlete within the department. From the start of my career the thing that I have always enjoyed the most is being a part of a team that only college athletics can give you, and I look forward to that here at FSU.”
In his role, McGovern will oversee strength and conditioning for all varsity teams, manage the university’s fitness center and athletic facilities, and coordinate building operations, including scheduling and external rentals.
