Framingham, Mass. – Framingham State University standout defensive lineman James Muirhead (Middleboro, Mass.) has been invited by the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League (NFL) to their three day rookie mini-camp.

Senior defensive lineman James Muirhead (Middleboro, Mass.) and junior running back Melikke Van Alstyne (Salem, Mass.) received their 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Year awards on Thursday night Feburary 21st at the ECAC’s Annual Football Awards Banquet that was held at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Framingham, Mass. – Framingham State University junior running back Melikke Van Alstyne (Salem, Mass.) has been honored by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston with a share of the 2012 Joseph P. Zabilski Award. Van Alstyne shares the 2012 offensive award with Middlebury quarterback McCallum Foote.

Kelley and Muirhead were honored along with the other award recipients last night at the NEFW’s annual Captains and Awards Dinner.
