Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State women's soccer team defeated Regis College by a score of 2-0 in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon at Maple Street Field. With the win the Rams improve to 5-10-1 while the Pride are also now 5-10-1.
The Rams got on the board in the 35th when Kaleigh Pallotta (Hanover, Mass.) scored off a free kick from about 25 yards out tucked into the left corner.
In the 66th minute the Rams struck again when Kayla Almstrom (Auburn, Mass.) buried a long strike from more than 20 yards out off a pass from Shelly Nardi (Williamsburg, Mass.).
Jennifer Stevens (Hopkinton, Mass.) made 9 saves in the shutout for the Rams. Kyrsten Drake (Loganville, GA) made 10 stops in the contest for the Pride.
The Rams outshot the Pride 23-to-16 in the game. Neither team recorded a corner kick opportunity.
The Rams return to action on Saturday, October 28th when they host Fitchburg State at 11:00 a.m. on senior day at Maple Street Field.
