Women’s Soccer Blanked at Clark

Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's soccer team fell to Clark University 3-0 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon in Worcester. With the win the Cougars open the season 1-0 and Rams move to 0-1.

The Cougars opened up scoring in the 13th minute when Sara Conroy scored with assists from Taylor Barbieri and Megan Marocco. The hosts scored their second goal of the half when Bailey Glenn scored unassisted in the 32nd minute.

Clark added an insurance tally in the 86th minute when Emily Sigillo sent one home with an assist from Alex Pariseau.

The Cougars outshot the Rams 17-to-5 in the game and were awarded 4 corner kicks to the Rams 1.

Allison Carroll earned the win for the Cougars turning away the one shot she faced. Kirsten Hansen (Framingham, Mass.) made five saves in the setback for the Rams.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday, September 6th when they host WPI at 7:00 p.m.
