Gunarathne Repeats as MASCAC Pitcher of the Week

Framingham, Mass.- Senior pitcher Kelsi Gunarathne (North Providence, RI) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 21st.

This is the second straight week and third time overall Gunarathne has received this honor.

The senior pitcher went 2-2 with a 2.38 ERA, allowing 18 hits with nine earned runs and 16 strikeouts for the Rams. She tossed a complete game two-hit shutout with a walk and 10 strikeouts in the 8-0 win over Massachusetts Maritime. She earned the game two win in relief against Bridgewater State, going 3.2 innings, allowing one earned run on three hits with three strikeouts in the 6-3 victory.
