Plymouth State Bests Ice Hockey; 4-1

Plymouth, NH- The Plymouth State ice hockey team defeated Framingham State by a score of 4-1 in MASCAC action Saturday evening in Plymouth.

- Records:  Plymouth State (10-9-2, 10-3-1 MASCAC), Framingham State (2-17-2, 1-12-1 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Panthers got on the board early in the first period when Leo Stople found the back of the net on the powerplay at the 4:49 mark.
  • Exactly twenty minutes later Kyler Harding scored in the second with help from Stolpe.
  • The Rams cut into the lead less than a minute later when Trevor Lewandoski beat the PSU keeper.
  • Myles Abbate answered for the Panthers halfway through the second to push the lead to 3-1 and Simon Besner scored in the third to reach the final margin.
  • Andreas Pettersson earned this win turning away 20 shots in the first 49:34 of play. Blake Carlson turned away 37 shot for the Rams.
  • Plymouth outshot Framingham 41-to-24 in the contest.
