Ice Hockey Tripped Up at SNHU
Framingham, Mass.—The Framingham State men's ice hockey team was defeated on the road at Southern New Hampshire by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday evening.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Penmen freshman Jake Cox (Columbus, Geo.)scored the game's first goal on one-timer from freshman Gustaf Arfelt (Stockholm, Sweden). Freshman Andy Somerville (Medford, Mass.) set up the play.
- Strawn redirected a shot by sophomore Max Kent (Sandwich, Mass.) for his first of the season, a power play goal, at 13:09.
- The Penmen took a 3-0 lead at 5:04 of the second as Moquin stole a pass and beat Framingham goalie Adam Calabrese with his blast.
- Matthew Siegel (Syracuse, NY) scored the only Rams goal on a man advantage situation at 8:39 of the second period. Soren Colstrup (Owatonna, MN) received the assist.
- Freshman Travis Quigley (North Babylon, N.Y.) tallied his first career goal off a setup from Moquin with three seconds left in the second period to make it 4-1 Penmen.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Cox scored his first career goal at 12:22 of the first period. He also added an assist.
- Moquin had a goal and an assist in the win.
- Freshman Alec Marshall (Nashua, N.H.) stopped 21 of the 22 shots he faced for his career debut.
- Senior Adam Calabrese (Philadelphia, PA) made 41 saves in the setback for the Rams.
- The Penmen had a 44-22 shot advantage on the Rams.
- Each team had one opportunity on a penalty shot, but failed to score.
- The Penmen had 49 faceoff wins to just 27 for the visitors.
