Framingham State Finishes Third in Final Smith Cup Standings

Buzzards Bay, Mass. Framingham State College finishes third as Westfield State College has claimed the 2009-10 Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference Howard C. Smith Cup that is awarded annually to the member institution which compiles the most points based on the placement of each of its programs competing in the 17 league championship sports.

Buzzards Bay, Mass. Over 400 student-athletes, including 19 student-athletes from Framingham State College, have been honored by the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference with selection to the leagues Fall 2009 All-Academic Team that was announced by MASCAC Commissioner Angela Baumann.
Kewley Named ECAC Division III Northeast Football All-Star

Framingham, Mass. Senior Anthony Kewley (Rutland, Mass.) was named a 2009 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Northeast Football All-Star. Kewley, who receives ECAC honors for the first time in his career, was selected as a return specialist.

Junior defensive back Chris Costello (Weymouth, Mass.) intercepted three passes to help lead the Coast Guard Academy Bears to a 20-13 New England Football Conference (NEFC) Bogan Division win over the Framingham State Rams today at Maple Street Field in the season finale for both teams. With the win the Bears improve to 4-5 overall and 4-3 in the division, while the loss drops the Rams to 5-5 overall and 3-4 in the Bogan.
