Cross Country Runs at TriState Invitational

Warwick, RI- The Framingham State University cross country team participated in the 2015 TriState Invitational Cross Country Meet hosted by the Community College of Rhode Island on Saturday. The men's team finished ninth in team scoring while the women's team came in at number seven.

The Rams top finisher on the men's side was junior Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) who entered a 8k time of 31:16.64. Junior Greg Asci (Rockland, Mass.) who crossed the line at 34:09.09 quickly followed by freshman Steven Furtney (Pembroke, Mass.) (34:20.06) and sophomore Doug Perkins (Newton, Mass.) (34:44.46).

Seniors Jay Ebersole (Natick, Mass.) (36:13.47) and Thomas Rainsford (Holliston, Mass.) (43:04.71) as well as junior Adam Meltzer (Holliston, Mass.) (38:46.70) rounded out the men's competitors.

On the women's side, sophomore Taylor Roberts (North Brookfield, Mass.) came home with a 5k time of 20:14.59 good for 6th overall at the meet. Senior Morgan Zabinski (Rehoboth, Mass.) was the second Ram across the line at 22:07.81.

The next group of Rams across was led by juniors Courtney Torres (Westminster, Mass.) at 23:05.57 & Mikaela Ranahan (North Andover, Mass.) with a 23:22.07. Freshman Iracely Sanchez (Framingham, Mass.) came home at 23:28.20 and senior Jenna Anan (Littleton, NH) crossed at 23:42.40.

The Rams return to action at the James Early Invitational hosted by Westfield State on Saturday, October 10th
