Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Compete at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

North Dartmouth, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's and women's cross country teams competed that the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning.

The women's team was led by a strong performance from senior Morgan Zabinski (Rehoboth, Mass.) who crossed the time in a time of 21:46.  Following Zabinski was junior Mikaela Ranahan (North Andover, Mass.) at 22:51 with freshman Iracely Sanchez (Framingham, Mass.) and senior Jenna Anan (Littleton, Mass.) following close behind at 23:00 and 23:03.  Rounding out the field for the Rams were sophomore Morgan Perry (Pepperell, Mass.) at 23:13, junior Kayleigh Laughlin (Gardner, Mass.) at 23:51, and junior Jillian Preman (Wilbraham, Mass.) at 25:19.

The men's squad was paced by junior Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) who crossed the line at 30:09 and was followed by sophomore Johnny Trocchi (Watertown, Mass.) at 30:39.  Freshman Steven Furtney (Pembroke, Mass.) was right behind for the Rams completing the course in 35:07 and was followed by junior Adam Meltzer (Holliston, Mass.) and senior Thomas Rainsford (Holliston, Mass.) who finished at 41:13 and 45:19, respectively.

The Rams are back in action next Saturday at the Elms College Blazers Invitational.
