Cross Country Competes at NCAA New England Regional

Williamstown, Mass. – The Framingham State University men's and women's cross country teams competed in the 2014 NCAA Div. III Regional hosted by Williams College.

The women finished in thirtieth place behind their top finisher freshman Haley Chamberlain (Charlton, Mass.) with a  time of 24:46.6. Hannah Daly (Ashland, Mass.) and Megan Peterson (Walpole, Mass.) followed her with times of 25:09.3 and 25:43.4, respectively. Emily Mulloy (East Bridgewater, Mass.) and Courtney Torres (Westminster, Mass.) came home after 26:01.5 and 26:56.3, respectively.

For the men's team Richie Wertz (South Easton, Mass.) was the Rams top finisher with a time of 29:49.7 leading them to a 53rd place finish. Dan Stevens (Holliston, Mass.) crossed the line shortly after with a time of 38:44.4. Jay Ebersole (Natick, Mass.) and Thomas Rainsford (Holliston, Mass.) both crossed in the 39th minute of the race and Johnny Trocchi (Watertown, Mass.) completed the course after 51:11.7.
