Women's Cross Country’s Buban Places First at First Rams Invitational

Ashland, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's cross country team received a first place finish from Kate Buban as the Rams hosted the first Rams Invitational on Saturday morning at the Warren Center.  

THE BASICS:

- Location: Warren Center Ashland, Mass. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams as a team finished first at first cross country meet hosted at the Warren Center with 18 total points, while Mass. Maritime claimed the second spot with 41 points. 

  • Buban completed the 5K course through muddy conditions with a time of 22:18, while fellow Ram Camille Carvalho crossed the line second at 23:28. 

  • The Rams swept the top three spots as Kelsey Gendreau finished third at 24:15. The top five in the meet were rounded out by Mass. Maritime's Marnay Acri-Burns (24:41) and Framingham's Leah Chace (24:46). 

  • Rounding out the top seven finishers for the Rams were Gwen Madded (24:52), Camille Graffeo (25:12) and Hannah Nilson (25:34).

The Rams are back in action next Saturday when they travel to Westfield State for the James Earley Invitational.
