Newcomb Places First as Women;s Cross Country Places First at Codfish Bowl

Boston, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's cross country team led by a first place finish from Emily Newcomb placed first at the 54thrunning of the Codfish Bowl at Franklin Park. 

 

THE BASICS: 

-Meet: Codfish Bowl 

- Location: Franklin Park Boston, Mass.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  • The Rams placed first with 19 points finishing ahead of Wentworth and Simmons. The Rams saw eight runners finish in the top ten. 

  • Newcomb led the way completing the 5K course in a time of 21:19. 

  • Crossing the line in third and fourth place for the Rams were Meghan Johnston at 22:04 and Jemma DePasquale at 22:17. 

  • Olivia Poole followed in fifth at 22:30, while Camille Carvalho followed in sixth place at 22:35. 

  • Rounding out the top finishers for the Rams were Kelsey Gendreau in seventh (22:43), Elizabeth Dykstra in eighth (22:47) and Amanda Bedard in ninth (22:49).
