Newcomb Places First as Women;s Cross Country Places First at Codfish Bowl
Boston, Mass. - The Framingham State University women's cross country team led by a first place finish from Emily Newcomb placed first at the 54thrunning of the Codfish Bowl at Franklin Park.

The Rams placed first with 19 points finishing ahead of Wentworth and Simmons. The Rams saw eight runners finish in the top ten.

Newcomb led the way completing the 5K course in a time of 21:19.

Crossing the line in third and fourth place for the Rams were Meghan Johnston at 22:04 and Jemma DePasquale at 22:17.

Olivia Poole followed in fifth at 22:30, while Camille Carvalho followed in sixth place at 22:35.

Rounding out the top finishers for the Rams were Kelsey Gendreau in seventh (22:43), Elizabeth Dykstra in eighth (22:47) and Amanda Bedard in ninth (22:49).
