Women's Cross Country Places 15th at James Earley Invitational
Westfield, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's cross country team returned to the trails today with a strong performance at the 2021 James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State finishing in 15th place.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Rams were led in the race by the trio of freshman Leah Chace (East Greenwich, RI), junior Kathryn Hayes (Dedham, Mass.) and freshman Amanda Bedard (Paxton, Mass.) who all completed the 5K course in a 14 second span.
- Chace crossed first for the Rams at 21:53 with Hayes on her heels two places behind at 22:01, while Bedard followed at 22:07.
- Freshman Elizabeth Dykstra followed for the Rams crossing the line at 22:31 and junior Emily Newcomb (Ryanham, Mass.) foolowed not far behind at 22:55.
- Rounding out the top six for the Rams was junior Kammarie Pelland (Fitchburg, Mass.) who finished the day with a time of 24:08.

The Rams are back in action on next Saturday when the race at the Suffolk Invitational at Franklin Park.
