Women’s Cross Country Places Fourth at MASCAC Championships
Westfield, Mass. – Senior Taylor Roberts (North Brookfield, Mass.) placed fifth overall to lead the Framingham State University cross country team to a fourth place finish at 2017 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championships this morning at Stanley Park.
Roberts completed the 5K course in a time of 19:44 and was just over a minute behind Westfield State's Jess Cardin who won the event in a time of 18:19.
Senior Mikayla Ranahan (North Andover, Mass.) crossed the line next for the Rams in 29th place with a time of 21:22, while sophomores Beatrice Donoghue (Rowley, Mass.) and Amena El-Sayed (Milton, Mass.) finished just three seconds apart from each other at 22:08 and 22:11.
Sophomore Dana Arburr (Glastonbury, Conn.) was the next Ram to cross the line at 22:40, while senior Morgan Perry (Pepperell, Mass.) followed at 23:04.
Rounding out the field for the Rams were Eri Takahashi (24:04), Siobhan Senier (25:58), Kylie Stupalski (26:12), Kate Girardi (26:49) and Meagan Kohlenberger (30:15).
The Rams are back in action on November 11th at the NCAA Division III New England Regional hosted by the University of Southern Maine.
