Women’s Cross Country Opens Season at Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational

Fitchburg, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's cross country team opened the 2016 with a solid showing this afternoon at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Alumni Cross Country Invitational hosted by Fitchburg State University.

The Rams were led by junior Morgan Perry (Pepperell, Mass.) who finished the 5K course in a time of 22:53.  Following closely behind was the duo of freshman Beatrice Donoghue (Rowley, Mass.) and junior Hannah Rogers (Dighton, Mass.) who crossed the line a second apart at 22:58 and 22:59.

Senior Mikela Ranahan (North Andover, Mass.) crossed the line fourth for the Rams at 23:01, while freshman Dana Arburr (Glastonbury, Conn.) had a strong showing in her first collegiate race crossing the line at 24:18.

The Rams are idle next week but return to action on September 17th when they travel to the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
