Volleyball Cruises to 3-0 Victory over Mass. Maritime in MASCAC Action

Buzzards Bay, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team defeated Mass. Maritime 3-0 this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Clean Harbors Athletic Center.   

THE BASICS: 

-Scores:  Framingham State 3, Mass. Maritime 0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-18) 

-Records: Framingham State (13-6, 2-1 MASCAC), Mass. Maritime (3-13, 0-3 MASCAC) 

- Location: Clean Harbos Athletic Center Buzzards Bay, Mass.         

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams recorded their second MASCAC victory of the season defeating the Bucs by scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-18. 

  • The Rams were paced on the attack by 13 kills from Anna Szymanski. Szymanski connected on 13 of her 37 attempts with just three errors for a .270 hitting percentage. 

  • Natalie Reynolds chipped in with 11 kills on her 20 attempts for a .500 attack percentage, while Hailey Sanders finished the match with nine kills, including the 1,000 of her career as a Ram, and added a block. 

  • The defensive effort was led by 21 digs from Carly Beaulieu who also added two assists and three aces. 

  • Stella Bailey chipped in with 39 set assists and seven digs, while Anneli DiVirgilio added 12 digs for the Rams.
