Volleyball Opens MASCAC Play with 3-0 Win over Bridgewater State

Bridgewater, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team defeated Bridgewater State 3-0 this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at the Tinsley Center.   

THE BASICS: 

-Scores:  Framingham State 3, Bridgewater State 0 (27-25, 25-22, 25-22) 

-Records: Framingham State (11-2, 1-0 MASCAC), Bridgewater State (1-5, 0-1 MASCAC) 

- Location: Tinsley Center Bridgewater, Mass.         

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Rams trailed 16-9 in the opening set before rallying to take the frame 27-25. The second and third sets were tightly contested with the Rams taking each frame 25-22. 

  • The Rams were paced in the match by 14 kills and nine digs from Anna Szymanski. Szymanski committed just two errors on her 33 attempts for a .364 attack percentage in the match. 

  • Natalie Reynolds chipped in with 10 kills on her 21 swings and added four digs and an ace. 

  • Hailed Sanders finished the match with eight kills on 17 attempts, while Jamiee Lowe added seven kills and 11 digs. 

  • Stella Bailey chipped in with 29 set assists in the match, while Anneli DiVirgilio added 13 digs and Carly Beaulieu chipped in with 10 digs.
