Volleyball Opens Season Splitting Matches with Babson and Dean
Babson Park, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team opened the 2023 season this afternoon and split a pair of matches. The Rams fell to the host Beavers 3-0 before taking a 3-0 victory over the Bulldogs.

The Rams were paced by 11 kills, two digs and two blocks from Hailey Sanders against the Beavers, while Anna Szymanski chipped in with four kills.

Natalie Reynolds chipped in with four kills for the Rams, while Jamiee Lowe added a kill and seven digs.

Stella Bailey handed out 19 set assists, while Anneli DiVirgilio chipped in with 16 defensive digs.

The Rams claimed their first victory of the season defeating Dean Collee in straight sets.

The Rams were paced in the match by a team-best 12 kills from Syzmanski, who also added eight digs.

Reynolds finished the match with eight kills and three service aces, while Lowe finished the match with six kills and eight digs.

DiVirgilio once again led the back row effort with 10 digs to go along with two assists and two service aces, while Bailey finished the match with 27 set assists and six digs.
