Failla and Sullivan Earn MASCAC Volleyball Weekly Honors

Framingham, Mass. – Setter Morgan Failla (North Providence, RI) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Volleyball Player of the Week and outside hitter Valerie Sullivan (Buffalo, NY) has been named Rookie of the Week for the week ending November 7th.

Failla, a graduate student, earns player of the week honors after earning MVP honors during last week's MASCAC Tournament. Failla recorded 139 assists, 34 digs, seven kills and two service aces during the third seed Rams run to the tournament title.  Failla finished with 53 assists and 15 digs in the championship game victory over top seed Worcester State.

Sullivan earns rookie of the week honors after averaging 14 kills and 4.6 digs per match during the tournament.  Sullivan recorded 10 kills and two digs with two blocks in the championship game victory and also added 23 kills and nine digs in a semifinal victory over second seed Westfield State.
