Volleyball Defeats Rhode Island College 3-1

Framingham, Mass. - The Framingham State University volleyball team defeated Rhode Island College 3-1 this evening in non-conference action at the Athletic Center.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • The Rams secured the victory by scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-21 and 25-10
  • The Rams were led on the attack by Hailey Sanders who recorded 14 kills on 26 attempts with one error for a .500 hitting percentage. Sanders added five blocks in the game.
  • Brandee Thomas added 10 kills and a team best 19 digs in the match to go along with three aces and two blocks.
  • Anna Szymanski chipped in with seven kills and five digs in the match, while Morgan Failla recorded 31 set assists to go along with 14 digs and a pair of kills.
  • Emily Flaherty added two aces and 12 digs in the match for the Rams.
  • RIC was paced by a match best 18 kills and 10 digs from Amelia Murphy.
  • Rhiannon Hodovanec added nine kills, 10 digs and two aces in the match, while Wynter Conlon finished the match with a team high 21 digs, and six assists.
  • Aubrey St. Onge chipped in with 17 set assists and 10 digs, while Sydney Greed added 20 assists and four digs in the contest.

The Rams are back in action Saturday when they close out the regular season hosting Worcester State at 11 a.m. on Senior Day, while the Anchorwomen host Worcester State on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
